EL CID testing is a means by which the integrity of stator core intra – laminar insulation can be measured, utilizing minimal electrical input to excite the iron.
Wedge Tightness Detector (WTD) Test
Computerized wedge tightness testing is a method of precisely measuring the stator slot wedge system for its degree of tightness within the core iron wedge grooves.
End Arm Frequency Response Resonance Test / Bump Test
Bump testing is used to assess resonant frequencies and looseness of end windings and connections. It analyzes the natural response of stator end windings upon excitation from a mechanical impulse.
Recurrent Surge Oscillation (RSO) Test
A low voltage (a few volts), high frequency (kHz range) surge wave is injected at each one of the collector rings. The two signals are then compared to determine if the same waveform is observed at each collector ring.
